Southern Glass & Aluminium Pty Limited, (the name has since been changed to sga Glazing Contractors) was formed in 2001 by owner Michael Howe to satisfy a need in the Victorian region for a professional, specialist, dedicated High Rise glazing company.
The company currently employs a team of qualified Glaziers with over 120 years of combined high rise glazing expertise, with industry recognised certifications in abseiling, elevated work platforms, vacuum lifting equipment, scaffolding, advanced rigging, crane operations, carpentry, aluminium fabrication and installation.
A professional approach and attention to the quality of workmanship in all aspects of the glazing industry is the key fundamental belief of sga, by utilising in house developed work practises and procedures the aim is to ensure maximum efficiencies and productivity, and most importantly, complete client satisfaction.
We at sga recognise that effective communication with all parties involved in a project is paramount to its success, we understand the relationship between your success and ours is directly linked, therefore our aim is to meet our client’s needs of professional quality installations, that are on time, and within budget. 2005 saw the completion of a modern, specialized glazing factory, designed to meet the high structural specifications needed for projects like the Spencer Street Train Station redevelopment. The factory will also carry many stock lines of glass to meet the demanding needs of the emergency replacement market, high rise glass maintenance, shop front redevelopments, interior partitioning and specialty glass balustrade systems.
